Cambodia, Singapore Strengthen Military Ties for Peacekeeping and Development

PHNOM PENH: Cambodia and Singapore reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening military cooperation in pursuit of regional peace, stability, and development. This agreement was reached during a meeting between General Vong Pisen, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF), and Vice-Admiral Aaron Beng, Singaporean Chief of Defence Force, held in Singapore on February 20th.

Gen. Vong Pisen highlighted the fruitful existing cooperation between the two nations, particularly in human resources training, mutual visits and information exchange, counter-terrorism and transnational crime prevention, humanitarian efforts, and disaster rescue operations.

Vice-Admiral Aaron Beng extended a warm welcome to Gen. Vong Pisen on his visit to Singapore, which included attending the prestigious Singaporean Airshow. He expressed strong support for further enhancing the cooperative ties between the armed forces of the two countries in the coming years.
